Faith La Rocque

Faith La Rocque was born in 1981 in Calgary, Canada, and lives and works in Toronto. She studied Art History and Studio Art at Concordia University in Montréal, and received her M.F.A. from Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland. She has had solo exhibitions at Board of Directors and Convenience Gallery, both in Toronto (2009). Her work has been included in international group exhibitions, including: Star Project (Minokamo Woodland Gallery, Minokamo, Japan, 2011); I’m OK You’re OK: the Art of Self-Improvement (Concertina Gallery, Chicago, 2010); and Darkling Eclipse (Das Weisse Haus, Vienna, 2008). She has received several grants and prizes, including the Joseph S. Stauffer Prize (2010) awarded by the Canada Council for the Arts. Upcoming exhibitions include a solo show at YYZ Artist’s Outlet in Toronto opening January 2013.
